How do I install a map for my area

The easiest way to transfer the maps to SeeYou Mobile is through SeeYou

1. Download and install the latest versoin of SeeYou from www.naviter.si
(note that the Mobile Wizard feature in SeeYou is always free. If only wish to use SeeYou to transfer the maps to SeeYou Mobile, you do not need to purchase a SeeYou license)

2. Connect your Pocket PC to PC through Active Sync
3. Run SeeYou
4. Go to File > Mobile Wizard
5. Select the Items you wish to transfer
6. Press Next >
7. Change base name and destination folders if necessary
8. Press Next >
9. Select the area you wish to copy to the Pocket PC
10. Press Next > Finish.

That way, the files should be available to SeeYou Mobile.

It is important to understand the difference between the "X" button in Pocket PC and "X" button in desktop Windows. The "X" on Pocket PC works more like "minimize" in Windows. To really quit SeeYou Mobile you need to go to Menu > Next > "Exit".

You know SeeYou Mobile is not running when it is not listed under Start > Settings > System > Memory > Running programs. If it's there, stop it.

Then you will be able to communicate with SeeYou Mobile through Mobile Wizard.

Hallo Andrej,

is it really necessary to use the latest version of CU? I have CU vers. 2.82 and mCU vers. 2.71. After downloading airspaces 2007 and installing with help of Mobile Wizard (all options selected) i can see only the airspace, no topography. in The menu "Dateien" the *.cit, *.cub and *.cup are correct refered. What's the Problem?

Thanks for your help
Peter Baumbusch

... I downloaded the actual version of CU and installed airspaces + maps again via Mobile Wizard, but the result was not better. After deleting some things not needed on the storage card of the PDA (mCU + files are installed on the storage card) and starting Mobile Wizard again, the map view of mCU was complete again.

greetings

Not really, but we really suggest that you do. Bugs are ironed out in each version and new options are supported. If it doesn't work in the old version there is no support for that. It's especially useful if you are running a new version of SeeYou Mobile.

Note that you don't have to buy SeeYou to use Mobile Wizard. It remains free and fully functional all the time even when all other features in the Evaluation version have been dropped already.

Good to hear that you found a workaround for the problems you've had.

Are these also the same steps to use with an Oudie?  As I understand it the Oudie appears on the PC as a drive and new files are simply moved to the Oudie by using drag/drop.

Thank you, John

You don't have to install maps to Oudie, they are preinstalled - worldwide.
