Portrait / Landscape mode on Navigon 8110
« on: May 18, 2009, 08:59:46 am »
Hello all,

a friend of mine bought a Navigon 8110. This is a really nice PNA, especially the screen, much bigger than any of our PDA !

Unfortunately, we come across an issue about the display, the only way we can use SeeYou Mobile is the portrait mode, or we would prefer the landscape mode.

How can we change that ? I've been looking in config files or SYM menu, but cannot resolve that...

Thank you for your help

You should go to Menu > Settings > UI and change orientation to zero. You need to Exit SeeYou Mobile for the change to take place.

Thank you for your reply.
This solution didn't work.

My friend fixed his problem in another way, he didn't tell me exactly how. If someone will need the explanation, I will be happy to ask my friend and report how to here.

Hi,

sorry to dig up the subject, but some people asked me how my friend has fixed this issue.

In fact he solved nothing at all, he just said to me "I fixed the problem... in changing my mind, I prefer portrait mode".

Sorry for false hope (mine aswell)...

He had lot of problems with his PNA, at the point he had to send it to after-market customer service because he could not use anymore Navigon software...
