Create NMEA log

It is often very helpful if you can post an NMEA log together with the description of your problems. Particularly if the message is referring to a connection to GPS somehow.

To create an NMEA log you should create a "NMEALog" folder inside your "My Documents" folder on the Pocket PC. You should
1. Open Pocket Explorer on the Pocket PC (under Start > Programs > File Explorer
2. From the Upper most combo box, select "My Device"
3. Click on My Documents
4. Select Edit > New Folder from the menu at the bottom
5. Change folder name to "NMEALog"

After the flight, please send the NMEA.LOG file that is created in the new "NMEALog" folder.

It is also possible to create NMEA Log on an Oudie.

Create a "NMEALog" folder in the root of the drive where SeeYou Mobile is installed. In Oudie this is the root of the TFAT drive as seen by PC when Oudie is connected. This is the procedure:

Oudie:
1. Connect Oudie with USB cable to PC
2. Tap "Connect to PC" on the Oudie screen
3. Look at the popup dialog in Windows to see which drive was assigned to Oudie (for this example we will assume "J:")
4. Open "My Computer" and browse to drive "J:"
5. Create folder "NMEALog" in the root of the "J:" drive (Right Click > New > Folder > NMEALog > Enter)
6. Disconnect Oudie from PC and run SeeYou Mobile

SeeYou Mobile will now log all incoming NMEA sentences. To troubleshoot your problem please send the NMEA.LOG file which is created in the NMEALog folder.

To create a NMEA Log on PDA or PNA where the ZIP version of SeeYou Mobile was installed on an SD Card please do the following:

1. Insert your card in card reader on your PC
2. Create "NMEALog" folder in the root of your SD Card (Right Click > New > Folder > NMEALog > Enter)
3. Insert your card back to your device and run SeeYou Mobile.

SeeYou Mobile will now log all incoming NMEA sentences. To troubleshoot your problem please send the NMEA.LOG file which is created in the NMEALog folder.

Andrej - I would think that you would want to turn off logging after you have gathered the information for troubleshooting or risk filling up memory with a continuous stream of NMEA data.

You can rename/remove the NMEALog folder after a problem is fixed.

It is true - you can use up the memory if you forget to do so.
