I use the latest version and everything runs perfectly fine, except : competition number is not showing. If i activate : options, 3D view, : show viewing direction : competition number is showing and viewing direction on the same location. As such competition number is unreadable. Before take off : competition number shows OK and when animation starts then viewing direction is showing on same location. If viewing direction is not active : competition number is not showing. Am I doing something wrong ?. All other features show well : terrain, symbol used, turn points, vector maps etc...

I've got the exact same thing. Have you found anything to get rid of these problems?
I'm running on Vista Ultimate 32-bit.

I was having the same problem.  I've found two different solutions:

1.  Set the Windows color depth to 16-bit, instead of 32-bit.  Right-click somewhere on the desktop, select Personalize -> Display Settings -> Colors -> Medium (16-bit).  This works great for SeeYou, but might make the colors in photos and videos less realistic.  Andrej please note: there might be a good hint here in fixing the problem!

2.  In SeeYou, uncheck Options -> 3D  View -> Show Viewing Direction.  This just makes the contest number and the viewing direction display go away in the 3D view, so they aren't a problem anymore.
