4310 Max / Saving data problem
« on: June 07, 2010, 11:24:43 am »
Hi,

I have a Navogon 4310 Max running SeeYou Mobile PNA 3.12.

(1) Shut down

When I press the Quit-Button after flight the "Do you really want to quit?" pops up. I tick "Save profil" and "End flight" and press "yes". Then I see a little "Save settings ...." screen appears but never comes to an end. I have to switch off the device.

SeeYou mobile seems to save some of the settings (not all, see problem 2), but unfortunately no flights. Folder for flights is "\Storage Card\Flights\.

(2) Sound volume

Default setting on the "McCready" dialog is 100 (very loud). I change to 50 but I found no way to save the setting. After re-start I find the 100 again. May be due to the problem (1). But even if I use the "Save settings" dialog, which seems to work for most of all settings, it does not take the 50. Folder for flights is "\Storage Card\Settings\".

Is there a way to default the volume to 50. (E.g. editing a XML file manually?)

Thanks,
Achim

Hi,

meanwhile I found out that the flights are saved in the flights folder but with a "last change date" of 01.01.2005 and 02.01.2005 for flights e.g. from 05.06.2010 and 06.06.2010. Because of the 2005 date I assumed that this are demo flights.

Now the question is, why is there a 2005 date and why does SeeYou mobile not shut down properly?

Regards,
Achim

1. This has been covered elsewhere. Everything is saved as you have already noticed, so all is well.

The picture remains on the screen because there is no other program running underneath on the Navigon, the last picture remains on the screen. There is nothing wrong, this is a decision taken by Navigon to have it this way.

2. The sound setting is indeed not saved in the profile.

3. The date for the file is taken from the operating system. Navigon (and all other PNAs for that matter) don't allow you to easily setup the date and time of the system.

Bottom line: There is no problem. After everything is saved and SeeYou Mobile shuts down the Navigon doesn't update the screen anymore.

As you didn't answer to this question, I guess the answer is "No".

"...  2. The sound setting is indeed not saved in the profile ..."
Can you please put this issue to the "requested feature list".

THX!

Achim
