ConnectMe - downloading flights from a colibri
« on: May 19, 2010, 02:54:02 pm »
Hi,

I tried to download a flight from a colibri using the colibri PC/power cable attached to the Oudie Serial cable, but it would not detect the colibri. Has anyone successfully performed this? Do I need to select any particular option other than colibri in the drop down menu?

Thanks,
Shaun

Yes, I did connect them ok, however more than once I got an error while transferring and forced me to go from the start all over again.

Thanks- was this with the original serial cable or the new RJ45 cable plus adaptors? I now have the new cable but haven't had chance to try it yet, I will be having a go this weekend.

Cheers,
Shaun

I have Colibri 3.01 which does not have USB so the only connection possible for me is the original Oudie power cable with RJ45 (from Oudie box) connected to RJ45 gender changer socket (from Oudie box) and from here with RJ12 extension (from Oudie box) to Colibri RJ12 socket.

Funny thing is, while being in computer software business for 20 years now, not for a moment I thought of using RJ12 connector into a RJ45 socket. That is until I read the instruction manual carefully all over again. So, again, my lesson was RTFM.  ;D
